High quality automated analysis of blood samples is conducted on the automatic multi-parameter cell counter which has the capability to process 60 samples an hour and displays on the LCD screen the particle distribution curves of WBC, RBC, Platelets along with data of 18 parameters as the analysis results.

It has the ability to detect abnormal samples.

The Department of Biochemistry is a full-fledged department which boasts the latest state-of-the-art fully automated random access chemistry analysers, the first of its kind in South-East Asia which performs a vast battery of tests. 

The department conducts both routine and specialised biochemical investigations for the admitted as well as out-door patients attending the hospital. The department is open 24 hours and all routine and specialised tests are performed throughout the day and night. The department interacts actively with clinical colleagues to resolve any discrepancies and tries to find solutions to clinical problems. The facilities of the department are constantly being enhanced, both in terms of quality and inclusion of new parameters for measurement.

The BacT/AlerT 3D offers a rapid and automated aerobic, anaerobic and fungal culture system for blood and body fluids ( CSF, Pleural, Peritonial, Pericardial, Synovial, etc.) and rapid Mycobacterial Culture and identification of pulmonary and extra Pulmonary specimens.

We also provide a full range of Routine and Special Stains, manual aerobic and anaerobic cultures, Pathogen identification and Antibiotic Sensitivity. Infectious disease serology is an important part of spectrum of serological tests offered. An informative SOP provides all the details and guidance right from the collection of specimen, its preparation for analysis, culture procedure and results.
