Caesarean Scar Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery at NEW TOWN unit

Mrs. Biswas was admitted to Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre, New Town with complaints of vaginal bleeding, pain in the abdomen and a history of surgical abortion. She was diagnosed with a rare case of caesarean scar ectopic pregnancy. Under the care of Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra, Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre, New Town, she underwent a successful laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

During the procedure, the scar was removed, and the retained product of conception in the scar tissue was cleared. The rent was then repaired using the laparoscopic method. Mrs. Biswas responded well in the post-operative period, demonstrating the effectiveness of the surgical intervention and the expertise of the medical team. She has since recovered and is now in good health. This case highlights the successful management of a rare and complex case of ectopic pregnancy and the commitment of the medical team to providing high-quality care for their patients.
